The UK chapter of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, running on end-of-life Joomla 3 and maintained by volunteers. Ten weeks: a rethink of the structure around the three audiences the site actually has, then a redesign and migration to Webflow.

What I built

The centre of the build is a members database: one collection of people, displayed dynamically wherever a person appears — as an author, an event speaker, a committee member. Reference collections keep it all connected, and schema markup ties each article to its author's LinkedIn profile, so the association's expertise is attributed to real, named professionals.

Content is organised around three audiences: prospective members, current members and potential sponsors, with conditional display rules showing each group what matters to them. The volunteer team maintains all of it from one place.

What it changed

The strip at the top is the outcome that matters: more of the people searching for proposal-management expertise find APMP UK, and click through when they do. The launch shipped on schedule, nothing was rolled back, and the volunteers now run the site day to day.
